Refunds and Cancellations
Clear subscription and payment remedies
Effective and last updated: July 21, 2026
This policy explains how to cancel recurring billing, which payment problems may qualify for a refund, and how requests are reviewed.
Before payment
Checkout shows the selected plan, price, currency, billing interval, included limits, renewal terms, and applicable taxes before payment. Payments are processed by Bachs, and updated.cv does not store full payment-card details.
By completing checkout, you request immediate access to the selected digital subscription features and authorize recurring charges at the disclosed interval until cancellation.
Cancellation
You may schedule cancellation from Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves paid access available until the end of the current billing period. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, unused time, unused feature allowances, and partial billing periods are not credited or refunded.
Deleting an account or ceasing to use the service does not automatically reverse a completed charge. Cancel the subscription before its next renewal and contact support if account access prevents you from doing so.
Refund eligibility
Except where applicable law requires another remedy, completed subscription payments are non-refundable after paid digital access has been made available. We review refund requests for duplicate billing, an amount charged above the amount shown at checkout, an unauthorized charge, paid access that was never activated, or a confirmed material billing error.
A dissatisfaction, change-of-mind, failure to cancel before renewal, unused allowance, job-search outcome, AI output, or third-party service issue does not by itself create a refund right. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights or remedies for services that were not supplied as required by law.
Request window and information required
Submit a billing-error or refund request within 30 days after the relevant charge, unless applicable law provides a longer mandatory period. Include the account email, checkout or transaction reference, charge date, amount, currency, and a clear description of the issue.
Never send a full card number, CVV, password, provider API key, or one-time code. We may request reasonable evidence needed to verify the account and transaction.
Review and processing
We aim to investigate complete requests promptly. Approved refunds are normally initiated within 14 business days and returned through the original payment channel where practical. Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time after initiation.
We may decline requests that are unsupported, fraudulent, outside the applicable request period, or inconsistent with this policy, subject always to mandatory law. Chargeback abuse or false payment claims may result in account restriction while the dispute is investigated.
Unauthorized payments and disputes
Report an unauthorized charge to updated.cv and your payment provider promptly so relevant dispute deadlines are not missed. Starting a bank dispute does not prevent us from supplying records to the payment provider or taking reasonable steps to prevent fraud and secure the account.
